Sunshine, boating, golfing, beaches, fine dining establishments, museums, live music, growing singles/club scene, art galleries; yes this is paradise. But sometimes there is a need to get away from paradise - for extended periods of time and sometimes for good. If any of you have ever visited, lived, or has known anyone who has been here realizes this is a special place. But every now and then there is a need to flex the muscles and move a little. The thing is, if you're like me, sometimes you keep going.
So where would you go and what would you do if you ever decided to get out for a little while? What to do when you're stuck here in paradise?
I love to get out the map and just pick somewhere I've never been before. Most of the time this revolves around the live music scene or camping/hiking for me. My girl and I are mad about live music and nature and we'll travel just about anywhere our wallets will take us if the music, timing and place is right. Having enough money to travel comfortably has become a necessity for me. In the past all I needed was a backpack, harmonica, a few dollars, a change of clothes and I was gone. Things are a little different now or I'm just older, I can't really tell which it is. Anyway, money is good for travel. The more money you have the farther away you can get from our paradise and visit someone else's.
Whenever I think about traveling I tend to think of foreign countries to visit and then my mind wanders and I think about what it might be like to live abroad. And when I've gotten that far I go here.
This site provides so much information about making a huge move - namely, out of the country- I'll be surprised if you're not packing by the next post or at least dreaming of going somewhere, even if it's St. Pete. Make sure and check back for tips on traveling, things to do in St. Pete/ Tampa Bay and general life in the 'Burg. That's it for now. Until next time enjoy this video of the only cheesy wedding chapel on the waters of Tampa Bay.
